Keeping tabs on how long inventory sits on your shelves is key to smarter purchasing and better financial insight—and Counterpoint has a report that does just that, the Inventory Aging Report! This report gives you a quick, easy-to-understand overview of how long items in your inventory have been in stock based on the date they were received. It analyzes historical on-hand quantities and costs to calculate the age of each item in days and groups them into up to five aging periods, helping you quickly spot slow-moving or older inventory. Auditors frequently request this report to support accurate inventory valuation for financial statements. The Inventory Aging report is also highly flexible. You can view aging by item, vendor, category, or inventory account code, include location details, and choose to display costs, quantities, or both. With additional filters—like item number, quantity on hand, or GL value—you can easily narrow the report to focus on exactly the inventory you want to analyze.
